Reminiscing Divita Rai’s childhood dream that she turned into reality!

How often does one fulfil their childhood dream? As children, we were all drawn to many career choices but strayed away with time. But today, we have a diva who held tight to the dream of a three-year-old that recently made national headlines!

Yes, the beautiful Divita Rai. Crowned LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2022 at the recently hosted crowning ceremony, the reigning beauty will soon represent India at the 71st Miss Universe pageant.

While every beauty queen has a story, Divita’s journey is a hard-hitting story of persistence, tremendous patience and dedication. But do you know how this all began? Well, there is no better day to tell this story than children’s day.

Opening up about her journey on several events, Divita attributed her win to her grandmother, who instilled the dream in her. “I always blame my grandmother for planting this dream in me. She had dressed me up as a little Miss India, where I had a homemade crown and sash that actually said ‘Little Miss India’. So I guess they instilled it in me. I have closely followed pageants every year,” she recalled during an interview with ETimes.

During her homecoming ceremony, Divita recreated that picture-perfect moment and realised that childhood dreams, no matter how big or small, are valid and stay with you. It was a moment she’ll always treasure.

“All of us are born with dreams, and we should never give up on them. I kept at being a part of pageants persistently to ensure I was fully satisfied before moving on to the next chapter of my life. I think the determination to get better every year was my focus,” she added.
