Gill also became the fastest Indian to score 1000 ODI runs as he took only 19 innings to attain the milestone, surpassing Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan – who achieved it in 24 innings.

Gill has also scored most runs in ODIs since the start of 2022 followed by Babar Azam.
Gill, who scored his first century against Zimbabwe, is the only batter in men’s ODIs from India to have an average of over 60 and a strike rate of more than 100.
